5 Activities to Check Out With Your Kids In Calgary This Spring
Spring is here! And we are actually getting some sun in Calgary. Let’s not tempt the weather gods, but I think we might actually have an enjoyable spring on our hands.
Now is the perfect time to get your kids outside to enjoy some of the great family activities Calgary has to offer. Pack the sunscreen and snacks and check out these 5 spring activities:
1. Dinosaurs Alive at The Calgary Zoo:
Do you have a budding paleontologist on your hands? How about a kid who loves adventure? Head on down to the Calgary Zoo this spring to see their newly refreshed Prehistoric Park and Animatronic Dinosaur exhibit!
2. Heritage Park’s Mother’s Day Brunch:
Get the whole family together for a mother’s day celebration. Enjoy a delicious brunch in Gasoline Alley. After brunch, kids and parents will enjoy checking out the vintage cars.
3. Mother’s Day Run & Walk:
If brunch isn’t your thing, you can get your family involved in the Mother’s Day Run & Walk in support of Neonatal Intensive Care Units. There is even a “little legs” race that is perfect for small children.
4. A picnic in Prince’s Island Park:
We are lucky to have many beautiful parks in Calgary, and Prince’s Island Park is the perfect place for a sunny day picnic. Pack some healthy snacks and a blanket and enjoy the sunshine. After you eat, stroll over to Eau Claire market with your little ones—there’s always something to see!
If you have older kids, this is an activity that’s sure to grab their attention. Check out the website above to get started. There are many geocaches around Calgary, so take your kids on a digital treasure hunt!
